Xwum LP – Equipment Rental Terms and Conditions

Canoe and Equipment Rental Agreement (SUP)
Release of  waiver claims, assumption of risk and indemnity agreement.

NOTE: By signing this document you will waive certain legal rights. Please read carefully.

Rental Agreement:

I accept full responsibility for the canoes and equipment rented. I acknowledge that the items are accepted for rental, understanding that Xwum LP takes no responsibility or makes no guarantees as to the condition, or safe use of the items. I take responsibility for returning the equipment in the same condition as at the time of rental and agree to take financial responsibility for the repair or replacement (at Xwum’s discretion) of any equipment deemed by them to be damaged or lost through use associated with this agreement. In the case that I return any items late (for any reason) I agree to pay Xwum LP to a value of a single day rental for all items for each day overdue. I understand there is no refund or early returns.

Safety Agreement:

I acknowledge that I am advised to wear an approved personal floatation device while paddling and to carry other safety equipment as required by Transport Canada. I am familiar with the proper use of the safety equipment, how to self rescue and of the Pitt Lake, Pitt River, Widgeon Creek and surrounding paddling environments. I am aware that Xwum LP employees are available to answer any questions that I may have as to the proper use of the equipment. I will not paddle in river conditions above class 2.

Damage Deposit:

A damage deposit of $100 will be required upon arrival and will be refunded upon return of canoes and equipment. Any damages or outstanding fees on the rental of canoes or equipment will be taken from the deposit.
